A GMP forensics team has won an award

GREATER Manchester Police has won a prestigious award for its forensic capabilities.

DC Sandra Parry, DC Stuart Kay and Elaine Robinson won the Innovation in Forensics category at The Investigator Excellence in Investigations Awards for its work on the Dale Cregan case.

The team processed over 3,000 pages of mobile phone records and data during their investigations ahead of the trial of Cregan and nine other men.
