A 23-year-old man is in custody facing jail, after admitting sex offences at Burnley Crown Court.

Jonathan Walmsley, of Blackburn Road, Accrington, admitted two counts of assault by penetration and one of sexual assault, which took place last November 16, at Burnley Crown Court.

He is already on the Sexual Offenders Register, and the hearing was told, a pre- sentence report will have to address the question of dangerousness.

Walmsley was remanded until March 7.

Judge Beverley Lunt warned him: "The only sentence possible is a custodial sentence. You are going to prison. The only question is for how long."
