A WOMAN and a teenage girl were followed around a supermarket and into a McDonald’s in Leigh.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe followed the pair around Asda on Priestners Way, Leigh and into the nearby McDonald’s shortly before 8pm on January 17.

The man is described as white, in his 50s, with a white beard and was seen walking with the aid of a stick.

Det Con Alison Wallwork, said: “We have scrutinised CCTV from both Asda and McDonald’s and believe a woman and teenage girl were followed around both locations.

“They appear to be oblivious to this and as part of our subsequent investigation we are now trying to identify the man in the CCTV image.

“If you recognise someone from the image please contact us.”
