Andy Burnham and pupils from St Georges Primary cut the ribbon
REFURBISHED changing rooms at a Tyldesley community swimming pool have been officially opened.
Leigh MP Andy Burnham and pupils from St Georges Central CE Primary School in Tyldesley visited the Pelican Centre to see the £80,000 improvements that have been made to the changing area.
The pupils have created art work that is currently on display in the pool’s foyer and got to ask Mr Burnham questions.
Most of the money came from a Inspired Facilities Grant from Sport England but the pool raised the remaining amount by holding events such as a swimathon.
