Our pet of the week has been a bit poorly but he’s still a cheeky chappy.

Gemma Openshaw, from Leigh, sent in this picture of Eric, her four-year-old English Cocker Spaniel.

She said: “He has been through so much over the past few years. He had pancreatitis, nearly lost his life and had to have his eye removed due to complications. However he is still cheeky and mischievous and gets away with murder.”

Leigh Journal. I check your web site due to never getting a delivery of this local paper, It is very informative, However when I check the "Your say" section we have Pet of the week always the top article, as I use a small netbook it always appears that the page has not been updated and I have to scroll down to find some interesting views. If articles of pets dressed in ridiculous poses are necessary please relegate them to the silly section,
