A TEENAGER who dreams of opening a community recording studio in Leigh has organised a concert to showcase local talent.

Daniel Thompson, of Warwick Road, Atherton, set up DRM events a year ago and has set his sights on opening the studio by November.

The 18-year-old IT technician said: "We made it a principle that we would showcase local talent so all the bands and artists are from the north west with a mix of alternative rock and indie genres.

"People can expect to see some of the finest talent and bands who genuinely believe in bringing people together and improving the community."

The event will be on March 15 at St Peters Pavilion on Hurst Street in Hindley from 7pm and tickets can be purchased through the DRM events Facebook page by visiting facebook.com/DrmEvents.
