A DIAGNOSTICS centre has won a second design award in a matter of months.
The Hanover Diagnostic and Treatment Centre at Leigh Infirmary was awarded the Best Building Conversion Urban Design prize at the annual Wigan Council Design Awards three months after it won a UK Building Better Healthcare award.
“We are delighted the Hanover’s modern design and layout has been recognised at the Wigan Council Design Awards, the local benchmark for high quality building design,” says Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust Associate Director of Estates and Facilities, David Evans.
Following the £6.8 million refurbishment, the Hanover Diagnostic and Treatment Centre opened in May 2013 and now treats an increasing number of patients during one visit urology, endoscopy and gynaecology appointments.
