FLORA and fauna around Hindley are being captured on canvas by members of an art group.

Thirty paintings will be displayed in community venues after funding was granted to Creations Community Art Group, run by PYE studios on Market Street and organised by owner Helen Pye, from Adactus Housing Association.

Helen said: “We have a number of Hindley residents who are enjoying work on the project and looking forward to sharing their art with the wider community.”

Lindsay Greenhalgh, Neighbourhood Development officer at AHA said: “This is a fantastic project. It has given residents an opportunity to get together to share what they love about Hindley.”

The paintings are scheduled to be completed by the spring.
