CHILDREN and adults alike donned sporting attire to raise money for Sport Relief on Friday.
Pupils at Lowton West Primary School were among those who paid a pound to dress up for the day while some completed the Lowton West Cross Country Challenge - to tie in to the National Sports Relief Mile - to raise even more money.
Members of the council's weight loss programme Trim Down Shape Up in Leigh swivelled their hips to salsa music at a mass Zumba session at Wigan's Central Park to raise £115.37.
Staff and patients at The Spinney in Atherton have been running and walking for Sport Relief.
Meanwhile Partnership in Care organised a sport-filled week which saw 25 members of staff from The Spinney walk or run the 11 miles from Atherton to the Arbury Court hospital in Warrington, some in fun fancy dress.
Patients at the hospital took part in sponsored walks measured by pedometers and a virtual cyclathon.
