A COMPANY has issued Leigh MP Andy Burnham with a challenge in return for a donation for his marathon run.
Regency Glass Ltd has pledged £500 to Mr Burnham, who is raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice's 'Hospice in Your Home' service by running the London Marathon on April 13.
The company, which has moved into new premises at Hope Carr Industrial Estate in Leigh, has offered to double the total if Mr Burnham beats his biggest rival - shadow chancellor Ed Balls MP.
Mr Burnham said: "Regency Glass has a strong commitment to our area and its people and their support is truly appreciated. Whatever happens on the day, I will be proud to run to support our hospice."
