WILDERNESS skills were put to the test as a Brownie troop headed into the woods.
The 1st Golborne St Thomas Friday Brownies attended a woodland workshop at Etock Primary Forest School in Westhoughton.
The Brownies, aged between seven and 10, lived wild as they learned how to make dens. They also examined pond wildlife, used hand tools to make bird feeders, along with learning how to cook foods safely over a camp fire and follow the Countryside Code.
