A FAMILY business is celebrating its fifth birthday by holding an open day.

Local Mobility has gone from strength to strength since it opened on Market Street in Leigh on May 29, 2009 by Leigh MP Andy Burnham and now operates from a megastore at Leigh Business Park.

They will open their doors from 10am until 4pm on Saturday when special guest paralympian Leigh Walmsley will demonstrate para-archery, a chef will give a cooking demonstration and services such as Think Ahead and Creative Support will be offering information.

Operations manager Kathryn Waterworth said: “We have a growing team and are very proud to be celebrating five years and really want the community to join us. After recently being involved in the Golborne ex-miner parade it reminded us what a great community we still have around us.”

There will also be a cake sale and tombola to raise money for charity at the Commonwealth Close store.
