AN ALTERNATIVE rock band have signed to a record label.
Purge, a four-piece outfit who have won various Battle of The Bands competitions in the last two years, have signed to Castle Rock Studios, representation division under managing director John “Stret” Stretford.
Tyldesley drummer Danny Smith met Bob Hunter, Josh Wirth and Haiden McHale at Pendleton College and formed the band at the beginning of 2012, when they had finished their studies.
The band said: “We’re here for the good times, pushing our limits and pushing a tune, alchemists of music born to contort beats, fuse a groove and set our sails to the course of the jam.
