TWO people have been charged following a spate of burglaries across the borough.
Dwayne Madden, aged 22, of Enid Place, Bamfurlong, and Craig Prescott, aged 26, of Kent Avenue, Platt Bridge, have both been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.
Cars, jewellery and cash were stolen in 12 burglaries committed between December 6 2013 and April 11 across the Wigan area.
All the burglaries took place overnight while the victims were at home and in bed.
Both defendants have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Wigan Magistrates Court on June 10.
