THE Leigh Neighbours Project has used the tempting smell of sausages to sign up some new recruits.
Young volunteers held a free barbecue in Leigh Town Hall Square to promote the work of the project and the opportunities available for young people to get involved.
The event allowed the volunteers to speak to people about some of the issues affecting the community and to recruit new board members.
The project was granted £1 million from Big Local to bring about lasting and positive change in the community.
