AN ACADEMY dedicated to training the professional rugby league players of the future, while providing them with academic qualifications, is set to open in Leigh.
The first students to attend the Elite Sports Academy at Leigh Sports Village will begin their studies in September, but before then there will be a taster day on Tuesday at 10am, to give prospective attendees a chance to see what’s on offer.
The college will offer fully qualified teachers to help students achieve a BTEC level three full time course specialising in rugby coaching and performance studies with a value of four A-levels, with highly qualified coaching staff and personal trainers to improve rugby skills. To find out more or to register for the taster day, visit eliteschools.co.uk.
