Inquest opens into death of man found at Pennington Flash in Leigh

AN inquest has been opened into the death of a man found at Pennington Flash.

Robert Paxton, aged 33, went missing on Tuesday, June 23, after last being seen near to Leigh Sports Village. His body was found on Wednesday, July 2 in an area of shrub land close to Pennington Flash.

Bolton Mountain Rescue Team had been involved in the search for Mr Paxton, who was from Leigh.

An inquest was opened and adjourned at Bolton Coroners Court on Thursday.
