A NEW project that hopes to bring a burst of colour to Leigh will launch next week.
Our Art Neighbourhood, a programme of visual arts workshops, will be launched by Leigh Neighbours on Tuesday in the Civic Square from 11am until 3pm.
There will be an opportunity for people try their hand at wool crafts and urban art, to find out what artist Rachael Elwell has got planned for her yarn art trail and take part in an urban art session with graffiti artist Gecko.
As part of the project, the Leigh Neighbours Board will be employing artists in residence to work with people and deliver hands-on workshops, leading to exhibitions, urban art works and an ambitious billboards project.
