TWO new Neighbourhood Watch schemes have been set up in Bacup, with more in the pipeline.
Residents in Inkerman Street and Ronaldsway Close have been working with PCSO Chris Hamer to put the community safety schemes in place in their area and two other groups have made enquiries about setting up their own.
PCSO Hamer, of Bacup Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “It’s been really encouraging to have so many people get involved in making their areas a safer place to live.
“We will be making efforts to secure funding for street signs to be placed in the new watch areas.”
