MORE than 70,000 people cheered as a nine-year-old from Lowton left the famous Wembley tunnel.
As Arsenal and Manchester City headed out on to the pitch, ready to play for the FA Community Shield, Bailey Williams was right there with them.
He walked out with the Gunners' central midfielder Jack Wilshere before their 3-0 victory on Sunday, August 10, in front of the 71,523-strong crowd.
Bailey won the chance to be a player escort by winning a competition on the McDonald’s KickStart website.
He said: “To walk out onto the Wembley pitch was brilliant.
“Seeing all the fans and hearing all of the noise that the crowd made was amazing – all of my friends at school are really jealous.”
