A LIFELONG Liverpool football fan received a special visit on the eve of her 104th birthday.
Betty Musker hit the headlines when she was sent nearly 6,000 cards after saying a few was all she wanted to celebrate her birthday last Friday.
Liverpool legend Ian Rush popped in to see the great, great grandmother to present her with a card, a personalised shirt and an LFC Official Membership pack.
Betty, who lives at Golborne House, a care home on Derby Road, said: "I was so surprised and shocked when Ian came in to see me.
“It was really nice of him to take the time out to bring me an LFC shirt and other gifts for my birthday. This is definitely something I will never forget."
Betty, who has a daughter, three granddaughters, six great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren is the club’s oldest official member.
"It was an honour to surprise Betty at her care home on the eve of her birthday. She is an amazing lady and a fantastic supporter of the club," said Mr Rush.
