LEAVERS from Westleigh High School have returned for a presentation evening.

Former year 11 pupils received their GCSE certificates and special award trophies at the school with present students received form prize awards.

Former student Scott Rothwell attended the presentation evening as a guest of head teacher John Banks and handed out the certificates and awards to students.

Since leaving Westleigh High School in 2005, Scott has worked in the construction industry and studied part-time to achieve become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.

Mr Banks said: “This was a fabulous evening and it is important to recognise the achievements of all of our former students.

“I was delighted that Scott was able to join us. His speech was inspirational about his life after Westleigh High School.

“I wish all our former students every success in happiness in their lives and hope that they will continue to keep in touch with us.”
