The Hospice In Your Home nurses
A SERVICE providing care at home for people with life-limiting illnesses is marking its one year anniversary.
Wigan and Leigh Hospice launched Hospice In Your Home in November 2013 with a team of 14 registered nurses and health care assistants to deliver support 24 hours a day to people approaching the end of their lives who wanted to be cared for at home.
In its first year the team have cared for 270 patients and 1,842 visits have been made to patients in their own homes.
