NEEDY families visiting Atherton and Leigh Foodbank may get more than they thought this Christmas.
The Rotary Club of Leigh have been selection boxes to donate to the foodbank to provide a little extra for children who otherwise might get nothing.
Rob Dyson, the vice president of Leigh Rotary, popped in to Kingsleigh to deliver the final batch of chocolate treats to foodbank project manager Warren Done.
Warren said: “At this time of year parents who need our services are often distressed by their inability to provide gifts for their children - these chocolates help.”
Rob praised the volunteers who work in the food bank. “They do a wonderful job week after week. If we can help, we are delighted,” he said.
