LABOUR'S pink bus rolled into Atherton on Saturday in order to listen to women from the town.
Bolton West MP Julie Hilling welcomed the Women to Women Pink Bus, which is part of Labour’s consultation with women across the country, designed to help the party listen to issues women would like the next Labour Government to focus on.
Angela Eagle MP, Shadow Leader of the House, led the consultation session which took place on the Hag Fold estate starting from Dorset Road Community Centre, Dorset Road in Atherton.
Ms Hilling said: “Listening to women here in Bolton West is a vital part of our General Election campaign.
"Women in my constituency have been hit harder than anyone by the cuts from the Tory-led Government and are still suffering from their failure with the cost of living crisis, slashes to tax credits and the widening gap between the incomes of men and women.”
“The Labour party are being proactive in listening to women up and down the country about issues close to their hearts. Labour will ensure women are at the forefront of Labour’s policies before and after the General Election.”
