House searched after man is attacked in Warrington Road.
POLICE were called to Warrington Road in Leigh following reports a man had been attacked with a weapon.
Officers attended the scene at about 3.50am and found a 25-year-old man with injuries consistent with being attacked with some sort of weapon, believed to be a blade.
Police established the incident took place on Elizabeth Road in Leigh and a warrant was ordered for a search of the property.
The victims injuries were not life-threatening and no arrests have been made.
Police confirmed that inquiries are ongoing.
