Bedroom destroyed after TV fault sparks blaze
THE bedroom of a house in Atherton was destroyed by a fire shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Three fire crews were called to the scene in Samuel Street at 12.15am, after an electrical fault in a television sparked the blaze.
Despite initial reports that a woman was trapped by the fire, nobody was in the house at the time. The rest of the property suffered severe smoke damage.
