Chaddock Lane road closure for gas mains work
MOTORISTS are warned that one lane of Chaddock Lane near Astley Industrial Estate, Leigh, will be closed for two weeks from Wednesday.
The closure is part of National Grid's work to replace a 230 meter section of gas main. The section affected is between the junction with the East Lancashire Road and Chaddock Hall.
Engineers will be working seven days a week to get the job finished to replace the old metal main with modern plastic pipe which has an 80 year lifespan.
