VOTERS in the borough have voted LEAVE in the historic EU referendum decision, with a landslide 63.89 per cent of residents wanting out of the European Union.
The combined count takes in all areas from the borough including Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley, with over 163,381 votes in total and 104,331 backing the Brexit campaign.
The turnout at polling stations was 69.2 per cent with only 58,942 votes wanting to remain in the European Union.
Donna Hall, chief executive at Wigan Council announced the results for Wigan Borough.
