MARIE CURIE is appealing for people within the community to lend a hand and join up with their Leigh branch.
The fundraising group, who care and support for people living with any terminal illness and their families, is looking for some extra hands and fresh ideas to help out in organising and taking part in supermarket collections and organising events.
Sophie Yates, community fundraiser for Marie Curie’s Leigh branch said: “The groups are always a friendly set of people who have come together through a common desire to help Marie Curie.
“It is sociable, fun and a great opportunity to get involved in the community.
“All money raised by the group is to provide high quality nursing care to terminally ill patients, totally free, in the local area.”
