A YOUNG boy from Leigh was one of six players from the Bolton Wanders youth team to meet Prince William at the National Football Museum.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the attraction as part of a visit to the city on Friday.
Among the young Whites to say hello to the Duke was nine-year-old Conor Lewis from Leigh.
He said: “He shook our hands and asked us questions about how it was going at Bolton and whether we were enjoying it.
“He asked what the three main things to do when we were training were. I said one was to have fun, and he gave me a thumbs up.”
Conor joined five other players from Bolton’s under 10s, 11s and 12s teams who were picked at random to meet the future king and were among academy players from teams across Greater Manchester invited to the event.
