A YEAR of fundraising activities has seen the Leigh Townswomen's Guild amass £2,400 in aid of young carers.
John Healey from the guild handed over the money to Wigan and Leigh Young Carers trustee and volunteer Howard Cooper.
The charity organisation will use the money to support groups in Leigh and fund activities for young carers in the summer.
The Leigh Townswomen's Guild meets three times a month at the Turnpike Centre and is always looking for new members.
Anyone interested in joining should call Joan on 01942 702346.
