FIREFIGHTERS tackled a garage fire following a suspected arson attack.
Crews from Atherton, Hindley and Leigh were called to Crawford Avenue in Tyldesley at around 6.45pm on Saturday.
They used a hose reel jet and breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate."
Firefighters were at the scene for around 50 minutes.
Anyone with information about the fire should contact Greater Manchester Police on 101.
Three fire crews – from Leigh, Atherton and Warrington – were also called to a blaze at a bungalow and were there for around 50 minutes.
Called at 8.15am on Sunday, they found a fire in the loft at the bungalow on Kenilworth Road in Lowton and used a hose reel jet, specialist tools and a dry powder extinguisher to put it out.
The fire is believed to have been started accidentally.
