A TEENAGER has been arrested after a man was allegedly assaulted with a piece of wood.
Officers were called to Garbett Street, Accrington, in the early hours of the morning where a man in his 40s was found to be bleeding from the head.
A 19-year-old man of no fixed address has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and remains in custody this morning.
A police spokesman said: "The incident happened at 3.15am this morning at an address in Garbett Street, Accrington. A man in his 40s has been hit to the head with a plank of wood. A 19-year-old man of no fixed address has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody this morning."
