A YOUNG dancer has wowed judges to make it through to the semi-finals of a UK talent competition.

Golborne High School pupil Molly Parker, 11, is set to perform in Birmingham on May 20 in front of a live audience after impressing TeenStar judges in previous rounds in Manchester and Stockport with her dance routines.

In Stockport she also danced in front of a live audience.

If she impresses in Birmingham, Molly may be given the chance to compete in the final at The Beck Theatre in London on July 14.

Her mum Vikki, 38, said: "I am really proud of what Molly has achieved

"She dances constantly and everything in her life revolves around it.

"At home she is never still with her practicing her moves and she also trains five times a week.

"When she found out that she made it through to the semi-final she could not believe it.

"I love watching Molly perform because she dances from the heart."

Molly has been going to Impulse Dance Academy in Golborne for more than three years.

Dance teacher Michelle Halliwell added: "Molly has done absolutely fantastic.

"She has worked hard on all different dance types, exams and competitions since she has been at Impulse.

"Everyone at the academy are really excited about how well she is doing at TeenStar this year."

TeenStar includes age brackets from under 12s up to the age of 19 for singers, individual dancers and dance groups with prizes up for grabs for the overall winners of the three performance categories.
