A GIRL was taken to hospital yesterday, Monday, after being shot in the chest with an air rifle.
Police were called to Kingsley Street in Leigh at around 4.30pm to find that the girl had been shot.
She suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of an air weapon and assault but has since been released without any further action being taken.
