Man dies after falling from Accrington Railway Viaduct

A MAN has died after falling from Accrington Railway Viaduct.

Lancashire Police said a 43-year-old man was found dead in a car park near to Accrington’s Vue Cinema.

The man is thought to have been discovered at 6am by a group of people making their way to work.

Police say they cordoned off King Street and requested British Transport Police stop trains in the area while they conducted their investigations this morning.

The man is said to be from the local area.

Dodgy reporting again here, I was unfortunate enough to see the aftermath of this tragedy as my bus passed the spot at 7:30am this morning and the man was still alive,( I saw movement) he was being tended to by paramedics.It maybe of some comfort to those closest to him to know he was not alone at the end. RIP.
