THE NORTH West Air Ambulance landed in a Chorley park after a child required urgent medical attention.
The drama unfolded at around 2.30pm today when a call for assistance was made from Duke Street Nursery School.
A spokesman for the nursery said the child needed treatment for an “underlying medical condition” but the situation was “not life-threatening”.
No further details have been released by both the nursery or Lancashire Education Authority The helicopter landed on the adjacent Ranglett’s Park.
One onlooker said: “It was obvious that the air ambulance was intended for the nursery.
“Everyone who saw was concerned that one the children there was in trouble.”
