AN East Lancashire youngster who battled to survive his early months has turned two.
Reece Scott was born with an underdeveloped heart, and has survived numerous operations and near misses.
The youngster is doing well, but doctors will next month try and find the best solution for a leaking heart valve, which will kill him if left untreated.
Reece’s family had an eventful few weeks preparing for a birthday party at home for twins Reece and Regan last Saturday.
Then, on Monday, the family hosted a family fun day at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, in Accrington, to raise funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The family are raising funds for the hospital as a thankyou for Reece’s life-saving operations and treatment.
Reece was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which was fatal until the 1980s.
