I am looking for the family of a James Rothwell who served in the 1st Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in the 1914-1918 war.
James was living in Markland Square, Farnworth, in 1915, with his wife and two daughters, and worked for Messrs Coops (or Coope) Bros.
He sent a letter to his wife writing of the death of my grandfather which was printed in the Farnworth Journal in 1915, a most vivid account of war.
