My parents are from Bolton but they brought me up in Africa, and since returning to England I live in Plymouth, Devon.
My father John (Jack) Harwood gave me a gold medal that belonged to his father, on it is engraved B&D.A.F.A. Cottom Mills Cup 1925-26.
I have been doing some research on the internet but can't seem to find any information.

I would just like to know a bit of history about it and if possible who the players were, and if it belonged to my grandfather who was also called John Harwood.
If anyone can help me, I would be grateful for any history on this.
