Bolton does not have a reputation as a club that experiences problems with a hooligan following, but those involved in this incident obviously do not care about that.
They showed little or no appreciation that other people in the pub were simply enjoying a peaceful Saturday afternoon drink.
The dark days of organised football hooliganism are long gone and there is no suggestion that they are making a return, but anyone with information as to who was involved in the incident in Darwen should contact police immediately.
Otherwise, the hooligan element may just rise again.
