Bolton enjoys a successful Easter

IT was great to see people using the local attractions over the Easter period.

People are often quick to complain that there is nothing to do and end up travelling out of the area to use facilities in other districts.

This only adds to the misery of Bank Holiday traffic and the feeling that any time off is spent on the road.

Local buildings of historic interest such as Smithills and Hall i'th' Wood offer children and adults a good day out, which educates at the same time, while Jumbles and Rivington give people an opportunity to see just how spectacular the countryside is around these parts.

The snow played its part in adding to the Easter fun and attracting people to Bolton.

Let's hope the town's traders experienced an Easter boost.
