  • THIS handsome devil of a swan was snapped posing the day away in the sunshine.
The bird was pictured on the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Adlington by Susan Fletcher, of Horwich.
  • This fox cub was stranded on Havercroft Park housing estate, off Victoria Road, Horwich, after it had tried to cross Victoria Road, but could not because of the heavy traffic. The photograph was sent in by Harry Williams, of Great Lever.
