CELTIC reserve manager Kenny McDowall insisted he has "the best job in the world" but admitted a return to the cutting edge of management could still lure him away.

He led his youths to an astonishing fourth title win in a row in midweek and said: "It's a fantastic achievement and the boys have been magnificent. It is nice to be linked with things and the pleasing thing is that people know you are doing a good job.

"To be honest, I am delighted where I am and I have a great job. But you never know, you are always ambitious in life and I am no different from anyone else."

McDowall was a coach at St Mirren then became assistant manager to Jimmy Bone at Love Street before being axed amid Paisley financial cutbacks.

He joined John McVeigh as No.2 at Partick Thistle in 1997 before being coaxed to Celtic Park just months later.
