A FRESH appeal for witnesses has been made over the death of a 78-year-old woman who died after being hit by a bus.
Anne Knowles was knocked down at the junction of Knowsley Street and Deansgate in Bolton town centre at 10.30am on Friday, March 14.
Firefighters freed Mrs Knowles, of Fairfields, Egerton, who was trapped under the bus.

She suffered serious head injuries in the incident and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where she died in the early hours of Saturday, March 15.
A police spokesman said investigations were continuing and they were due to interview the bus driver in the coming weeks.
"We would urge anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch with us," the spokesman added.
An investigation has been launched by bus operators, Rossendale Transport.
Managing director Edgar Oldham said the company could not comment at this time.
Mrs Knowles was described as a loving mother to daughters Sue and Emma, and a loving grandmother to Ben, aged 14, Zara, aged 12, Adam, aged 10 and Nicola, aged six.
She was also a step-grandmother to Sarah, Helen and Joe. She has a brother, Gordon, who lives in Canada.
In a statement, her family said: "Anne will be lovingly remembered for her kind and generous nature, her gentle sense of humour and her concern for others and the world around her."
Mrs Knowles was born in 1930 and spent much of her childhood in India before moving to England.
She later moved to Canada where she raised a family and spent many years working as a librarian before returning to this country in 1985.
