Teen gangs mug woman
9:23am Friday 17th August 2001
POLICE are looking for two gangs of youths who took part in a mugging in Belvedere.
A woman, wearing a yashmak, was approached by two groups of youths on Cheshunt Road, in Belvedere, on August 3 at around 6pm. The youths, aged between 13 and 14, stopped the woman and pushed her. One of them grabbed her handbag and kicked her.
Police are looking for the boy who stole the bag. It contained cash, credit cards and a mobile phone. The boy is described as white with dark brown hair.
Police are keen to talk to anyone who witnessed this incident, which took place at a busy time on a main road.
