YOUNG gardeners have been busy putting the final touches to their outdoor living structures.
Two willow growing frames are now in place for the children of The Gates Primary School in Westhoughton.
And the planting of the willow seeds marks the completion of the school’s redevelopments of its outdoor area thanks to a Lottery grant of just under £10,000.
Business manager Carol Band said: “The outdoor space is now complete.
“We have allotments, chickens and now will have a tunnel and dome which will carry on growing.
“After half-term the children will decide what they want to grow, and they are looking after the chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs.”
