AUTHOR Dorothy Winard was a special guest at Westhoughton Library last week.
Ms Winard, who writes under the name Johanna, discussed her recent novel Ruby’s War and how it came to be published.
Ms Winard is the leader of Westhoughton Library's Reading and Writing groups.
Ruby’s War surrounds the tale of 15-year-old Ruby, who is collected from her aunt’s guesthouse by her grandfather in 1942 and taken to live with him in a village in industrial Lancashire.
