A PARK in Westhoughton was cordoned off overnight after a resident raised concerns over a possible shallow grave.
Police erected cordons around Hall Lee Bank Park on Wednesday night after being called by a worried member of the public, who had noticed some earth that appeared to have been dug up in the park.
The cordon was left up overnight to allow officers to search the area in daylight on Thursday, but nothing suspicious was found.
GMP confirmed that they traced a man who it is thought could be camping in the park, but have discounted his involvement in the incident.
